Dr. Zahid Juma is involved with multiple volunteer initiatives. He has traveled to many underserved communities to provide quality
dental care to those individuals in need. The global clinical outreach sponsored by Henry Schein Cares and NYU College of Dentistry Office of International Initiatives and Development is comprised of a team of NYUCD faculty and dental students selected based on merit. He has also been involved in many fundraising efforts to support various charity organizations.​

United Way Bridge Walk 2010 - 2012​
Seizing the opportunity to be outdoors, Dr. Juma actively participated in the United Way Bridge Walk for 3 consecutive years. He also conducted Oral Health Screenings at the event in the Smiling Faces Going Places Public Outreach Van.
Give Back A Smile
Charity Fundraiser
Dr. Juma, as President of the Aesthetics Club, along with other clubs at NYUCD raised money to support the GBAS Charity. The group effort involved raising awareness for GBAS and fundraising over $8200 for the cause!
NYC Oral Cancer Walk 2010 - 2012
Hosted by NYU College of Dentistry, the Oral Cancer Walk raises awareness for Oral Cancer. The walk is held at different venues within the city to involve as many communmities as possible. Dr. Juma was part of the Dr. Peltz and Associates Team which raised over $10, 000 in the 2012 Oral Cancer Walk. This amount was a landmark for an individual group practice to raise.
